The next generation is important to us. That’s why we are once again supporting the two racing teams of Uni Stuttgart and KA-RaceIng (from KIT in Karlsruhe) in 2019. We provided insulation solutions for exhaust manifolds and turbochargers for the vehicles in the internal combustion engine category. The team from Karlsruhe visited us in spring 2019 to learn more about our manufacturing.
Throughout the season, we supported the two teams Uni Stuttgart and KA-RaceIng with insulation solutions for their combustion engines. This summer, it was finally time: From August 5th to August 11th 2019, the Formula Student Germany took place for the fourteenth time at the Hockenheim Ring. 119 teams from the categories Combustion, Electric and Driveless competed to set best times with their own race cars. Among other things, the Uni Stuttgart team took first place in the autocross discipline and second place in engineering design in the combustion engine category. KA-RaceIng took second place in the Driveless and Electrical categories.
Tomorrow’s best engineers learn early. That is why we cultivate knowledge transfer with our protégés. In spring, 13 students from the KA-RaceIng team visited us in Mannheim. In presentations, the guests learned more about our history, markets, and products. During tours, they got to know the tool making, manufacturing, and R&D departments. We are pleased about this lively interest and wish the new generation all the best for 2020.
