Quality Administrator

Thermamax is a specialist and technology leader in the design and manufacture of thermal and acoustic insulation solutions for engine rooms and exhaust after-treatment systems for diesel engines, spark ignition engines, and electric propulsion systems. Thermamax serves markets such as marine, agriculture, power generation, off- and on-highway. Thermamax, Inc. manufactures high temperature insulation at the facility in Aurora, Illinois.

Role / Responsibilities:

  • Works with work instructions, blueprints, engineering drawings, BOM and other specifications.
  • Create, update and submit PPAP documentation and support in all PPAP related tasks.
  • Monitor operations to ensure that they meet quality standards
  • Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced
  • Drive and support the NC/CA and continuous improvement process
  • Define and control of immediate and corrective actions, test the effectiveness of the measures
  • Perform data entry and information retrieval using Microsoft Office and other software
  • Training of shop floor personnel to meet expected product quality standards


  • 2 to 5 years of experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance methodologies, especially Nonconformance/Corrective Action process (8D, 5Y etc.)
  • Experience with PPAP requirements and procedures
  • Ability to effectively read manufacturing drawings and issue dimensional reports
  • Accurate use of metrology instruments
  • Knowledge of dimensional, visual and mechanical inspection processes
  • Capable to perform first article, receiving, in-process, and final inspection and maintain all related documentation as per ISO/IATF
  • Perform tasks with limited or no supervision
  • Maintains accuracy and attention to detail always and completes tasks in a timely manner
  • Planning and problem-solving ability.
